Abstract

This study had the objective to analyze the execution of the actions for financing the agroecological
production at the first edition of the National Plan for Agroecology and Organic Production
(Planapo I), aiming to make an reflexion about the pertinence of the strategies adopted so far to
finance the agroecological transition in Brazil. It was based in the analysis of the balance report
sheet of the plan, literature review and secondary-data gathering, together with the consult to
the monitoring sheets, filled in by the policy managers. The results indicated that greater allocation
of resources in social funds created to finance agroecological networks might be a more
effective strategy to assure the application of those resources than to concentrate the biggest
part of it on the supply of subsidized credit.
