Abstract

Seeking the autonomy of the farmers and the reduction of dependence on external inputs, the use of natural extracts, aiming at rooting, is an increasingly used option as a substitute for synthetic growth regulators. The objective of this work was to evaluate the production of pitangueira cuttings by cutting using two rooting inducers, one of natural origin and another synthetic under two environments. The experiment was conducted at IFPE-Campus Barreiros. The treatments were arranged in a completely randomized design, in a 2x3 factorial scheme, which corresponds to 2 environments (greenhouse and humid chamber in greenhouse) and 3 rooting inducers (control - water, lentil extract and AIB), totaling in six treatments. The results demonstrated that the humid chamber environment promoted a higher survival rate and the tested inducers did not present significant responses regarding the survival and sprouting of the pitangueira.
