Keywords:
Biome; Environmental Awareness; AgroecologyAbstract
The "Coffee with Agroecology" is a thread of discussion that aims to discuss and socialize issues related to science, society, environment and culture, focusing on Agroecology. Meetings are held monthly, usually on the last Thursday of each month. The focus of this summary is an account of two events that discussed the theme Atlantic Forest. These meetings were marked by the following themes: Palmeira Juçara, history and sustainability in the Atlantic Forest, conducted by Daniel Mujalli in December 2017; Atlantic Forest and Socio-biodiversity, conducted by Marcelo Mendes do Amaral in May 2019. Sustainability and socio-biodiversity in the Atlantic Forest are of great importance for its preservation and regeneration, since only 5% of its original natural cover remains and brings together a large biodiversity that has been lost over time.
