Youth in the Perspective of Living with the Semi-Arid

Abstract

The Dom José Rodrigues Training Center located in Juazeiro - BA, is a space for the training of technologies to coexist with the semi - arid region of the Regional Institute of Small Appropriate Agriculture - IRPAA. The same still counts on the presence of a Student Republic, a space in which gives the opportunity to the rural youth to experience a Multiplier and Multiplier training of the Proposal of Coexistence with the Semi-Arid parallel to this, a professional formation be it of technical level or higher in public educational units. The construction of the course to consolidate the proposal of living with the Semi-Arid region, through experiences, exchanges, training and daily practices, highlighting mainly the management and maintenance of the technologies of coexistence implanted in the Center. The experience gained during this time was of great importance for the personal, professional and academic improvement of all who passed through this training space, there is one before, during and after the Irpaa, and thus proven Irpaa has been modifying the lives of many young people of the rural environment, young people who by the conjuncture do not have opportunities to follow or give contuinidade to the studies, mainly the women who, being more victim of this system, end up being more disadvantaged, especially when leaving home.
