Abstract

The present case study sought to analyze and give visibility to the work of rural women in the
municipality of Rio Pomba/MG. For this, she analyzed the perceptions of seven rural women
about the sexual division of labor and measured the income generated by them in the work
carried out in forest backyards and small direct sales. To obtain data and information, interviews
and information on the completion of the Agroecological Handbook were carried out.
The results allowed us to affirm conclusions about the sexual division of labor in the rural environment
and through the Agroecological Handbook, to bring to the surface a hitherto invisible
production.
