Abstract

As an action of the public call of ATER - Technical Assistance and Rural Extension for women,
the Agroecology and Feminism project executed by the NGO Esplar - Center for Research and
Advice, had as main subject, 240 peasant women in situations of extreme poverty in the State
of Ceará. During the activity of Evaluation and Partial Monitoring of the project, it was identified
that the women’s speeches converged on several themes among them the methodology
of ATER’s work. With this, we sought to systematize the main of these lines and contextualize
them according to the theme of ATER practice in order to dialogue about the importance of a
specific ATER being constructed and executed from the reality and the demands of the subjects
themselves respecting their knowledge and their words that are loaded with the most
diverse lived experiences.
