The The Network of Encouragement of the Family Agriculture Fairs – REDIfeira: the case of the creation of FEPORg - Maringá and Region Organic Products Fair

Abstract

The Network for the Promotion of Family Agriculture Fairs - REDIfeira, an integral project of
the University Extension Program, Universidade Sem Fronteiras, of the State Government of
Paraná - Secretariat for Science, Technology and Higher Education (SETI) aims to boost production
and The commercialization of products produced by Family Agriculture. It acts in the
municipalities of the Program of Development of the Region of the Municipality of Setentrião
Paranaense - PRÓ-AMUSEP, doing it through a monitoring of the activities of these farmers /
family, in the ambit of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension humanizing, in its main activity
Of commercialization: the Fairs of Producers. Thus, this work presents the case of the creation
of FEPORg - Maringá Organic Products Fair and Region, which for a community initiative, and
with the help of Maringá City Hall and the REDIfeira project, the Reference Center on Urban
and Peri-urban Agriculture - CerAUP and the Paranaense Program for Certification of Organic
Products (PPCPO), can become a reality.
