The ecological transition of territorial agri-food systems: dynamic and pragmatic approach
Keywords:
agrifood systems, ecological transition, agroecologyAbstract
This paper addresses agrifood systems transitions through a dynamic and socio-historical,
systemic approach and pragmatist perspective. Empirically based on the analysis of the trajectories
of farmers, private or civil society initiatives, public policies and coordination modes,
the comparison of 4 territorial agrifood systems shows that strong alliances between social
movements and public policies are necessary to guarantee a social and territorial equity both
for farmers and consumers in terms of access to ecological techniques, markets and products.
