Carnauba is widely used by farmers to generate employment and income. Due to its ecological, social and economic importance, it is necessary to understand its management. In view of this, the Agricultural Residence Program of the Federal University of Ceará promoted a workshop on carnauba management in July 2018. The workshop was chosen by a general assembly in January 2018. Farmers and farmers from the Vida Nova Aragão settlement, in Miraíma, Ceará, were selected. Subjects were required by farmers such as: fertilization and control of the grapevine, environmental functions, work safety and cooperativism. The management of the carnauba was placed in a more sustainable and agroecological way and the knowledge was built together with the academic and the popular. The farmers then, were protagonists of that moment, teaching, exposing their experiences and complementing the placements.
