Abstract

In order to promote dialogue among women and identify the oppressions experienced in the
academic and professional milieu and by the women who construct agroecology, a Conversation
Wheel was proposed with women students from the area of agricultural sciences of
the Federal University of São João del Rei / CSL. The greatest difficulties observed were (1)
in the context of the agrarian sciences, women continue to need to prove how they are able
to perform many activities, despite the lower wages compared to men; (2) the construction of
sorority among women with different political and social positions; (3) the continuity of macho
values within the agroecology movement manifested by harassment; And, (4) objectification of
the woman who encourages abuse and aggression. It is concluded that sorority among women
is necessary in order to contribute to answers to the questions about how to deal with the daily
abuse, harassment and prejudice suffered by women
