The conditions offered by modern agriculture give continuity to the process of social exclusion
of rural workers, permanence or increase of misery, rural exodus and increased concentration
of land by the most technically advanced producers. Considering the role of women as a social
and political agent in the conquest of land and sustainable rural development, this work sought
to analyze the participation of women in the struggle for land and in the process of constitution
and consolidation of the PDS Nova Esperança settlement in Iranduba -Amazonas. Adopting
participatory DRP methodologies and the Case Study research method, it was possible to
register the participation of women in the face of the agrarian conflict faced, their forms of resistance
and the hard journey they still face to remain in the conquered land and to build their
protagonism from the Visibility of their activities.
