Abstract

Violence against quilombola’s communities women, family farmers and peasants in the Potiguar
Semi-arid region is attenuated by the lack of public policies that allow autonomy and
overcoming social and gender differences in the countryside. The technical experience aims
to expose the importance of the training processes in Human Rights and Agroecology, as a
political, educational and emancipatory action for the women of the Community Bela Vista
Piató and Agrovila Santarém. The methodology used in the training process was based on
a participative approach, dialogical and horizontal, and applied in the formats of workshops,
wheels of conversations, exchanges, practices and experiences, inspired by the perspective of
Paulo Freire. We understand that the autonomy and emancipation of women in the field is not
only achieved through formative processes, but these processes have a character that triggers
social transformations. It is concluded that technical experience will serve as a subsidy for
local development and the strengthening of women in the countryside, aiming at overcoming
oppression, social, cultural and economic inequality.
