Potential impacts of the main pesticides used in the Community of Barra Bonita II in the Municipality of Cerro Azul - Paraná

Abstract

The present Expanded Summary is the result of a Course Completion Work of the Degree in Peasant Education - Nature Sciences of UFPR. The objective was to investigate which pesticides are most used by Peasant in the Barra Bonita II community, located in the municipality of Cerro Azul - Paraná. We also raise, as they are used, when they are used and in which crops are applied. These data were obtained through the Qualitative Methodology, whose main tool was the semi-structured interviews that were carried out with six Peasants from the Barra Bonita II Community. By means of these data, we have reached a high number of agrochemicals, which has been shown to be sensitive and worrying, and it is necessary to raise awareness among these Peasants about the toxicity of these poisons to their health and the environment of the Community agroecosystems .
