Agroecologia na extensão acadêmico-popular

Abstract

This paper’s objective is presenting the extension academic-popular project entitled “"Sowing agroecology in the countryside and in the city", which was created by students and teachers in one of the campus of the Universidade Federal Fluminense, in the state of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The project aims at building and promoting agroecology by contributing to the organization of collectives of family farmers and consumers of agroecological foods in the adoption of network strategies that create greater demand for healthier food production, either through public policies or different collective initiatives. In fact, we hope to collaborate integrating a broader social change process, guided by the exchange of knowledge and experiences between urban and rural territories.
