Abstract

The current paper is part of the project scope "From informal to formal: an investigation of territorial food supply networks", a partnership between the Universidade de Brasília (UnB), Araraquara (UNIARA) and Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA). approved in CNPq / MCTIC nº 016/2016. The project had its proposal formulated for the strengthening of the short circuits of food supply, aiming to analyze alternatives of commercialization that favor the autonomy of the producer, a diversified and decentralized production and the alimentary security, having the empiric universe of Brazilian and Argentine territories. The methodology used was based on exploratory and documentary research, as well as the field research, by mapping the maximum of short and formal and informal agri-food circuits. The fact that Araraquara Ceasa is not the main wholesale trade in the city shows us a gap in the political issue of food supply.
