Report of agroecological experience: aspects of the relationship between gender and agroecology

Abstract

This study aims to report the experience of women farmers who experience the agroecological
transition, living whith their family in the municipality of Antônio Carlos / Minas Gerais. The
search for the sharing of this experience, about the gender relation in this family, arises from
the desire to discuss and understand in more depth on the themes of gender and agroecology,
which are part of the line of research of the researchers. In this sense, it brings the reflection
about how the female empowerment and the changes in the social relations of work interfere
in the process of sustainable rural development.
