Abstract

The main objective of this work was to know the perception and management techniques of an
organic food producer, which resides in the Pimenta branch located at BR 163, in Santarém-
-PA, Brazil. In the property is produced cassava, beans, vegetables, fruit and vegetables, part
of the production is destined for commercialization in the free markets and markets, the rest for
subsistence of the family. The farmer is aware that the mode of cultivation she adopts respects
nature, making her share of the contribution to sustainable development in the Amazon region.
