Abstract

The demonstration unit of agro-ecological papaya is an extension project developed at the IF Sertão-PE, Campus Petrolina Zona Rural, in the part of fruit growing of CVT Agroecologia and was implemented with the objective of bringing knowledge to the students of the technical courses of the Campus. The conduction of the crop was done through agroecological technologies, highlighting the preservation of environmental resources and good agricultural practices. All stages of the project, from the preparation of the area to the fruit harvest were accompanied by the students, who had the opportunity to make management practices for a sustainable production and without damages to the environment and human health.
