Keywords:
Agroecology, gender, family agricultureAbstract
The present work reports, through the historical rescue, the access to rural credit by a group
of family farmers, in agroecological transition, from the municipality of Santa Cruz da Baixa
Verde-PE, from its organization through the Associação Municipal Mulher Flor do Campo, founded
with the objective of strengthening the organization and productive chain of its economic
activities, besides allowing access to previously restricted public policies. During the period
from 2008 to 2014, fourteen women assisted by the Instituto Agronômico de Pernambuco (IPA)
from the agroecological perspective accessed credit, which made it possible to invest in agricultural
and non-agricultural activities, besides increasing local production, generating income
and enabling greater participation of women in public spaces.
