Abstract

Successful organic practices when socialized with other farmers potentiate the agroecological transition process. Activities such as field days at rural properties such as the Catavento Site are real spaces in which experiences are demonstrated through peasant-peasant methodology. Fernando Ataliba spoke about concepts and principles of organic agriculture, learning and practices developed for the management and viability of grape production and other fruit existing in his property. With the demonstration of techniques used by organic fruit growers of the Fruit Circuit of the state of São Paulo, it is hoped to disseminate knowledge that will serve as inspiration and guide conventional farmers in the process of agroecological transition. Field day was a potential tool for connecting and exchanging experiences among the region's fruit growers interested in adopting the organic production model based on the experiences and indications of Ataliba.
