Educação ambiental e agroecologia na Escola Estadual Maria Amélia do Espírito Santo, Manaus-AM

Abstract

The experience was the restructuring of a school vegetable garden at the State School Maria Amélia do Espírito Santo, in the city of Manaus-AM, several activities of environmental education and agro-ecological practices were developed with the trainees, which multiplied the lessons learned to the students of the school. The activities of environmental education were directed to the construction of garbage collectors and the use of waste school meals for the production of compost, which was used in the garden as a source of organic fertilizer. The experience was challenging and at the same time contributed to the formation of citizenship of the students.
