Abstract

The Collembola class is considered a bioindicator of soil quality, as it is very sensitive to its incorrect use of soil. The objective of this study was to evaluate the abundance of coleopters in the soil of a rural property, in a transition process from conventional to organic management, located in the municipality of Rorainópolis, south of Roraima, in the single corn, single bean and intercropping beans) in succession of legumes Mucuna cinza (Mucuna pruriens), Guandu bean cv broad fava (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp), Crotalaria (Crotalaria spectabilis), Crotalaria (Crotalaria ochroleuca), Calopogonium (Calopogonium mucunoides). Six collections were carried out, with pitfall traps. In the intercropping system, in succession of the legume Mucuna Cinza (Mucuna pruriens) showed a greater abundance of colleciples, due to the high availability of food and favorable microclimate, concluding that legume use is important for organic production.
