Abstract

This work deals with the presentation of the results of microbiological analysis of substrates produced from agricultural residues and parts of plants submitted to composting. The aim of this study is to evaluate whether the formulations produced have microbiological characteristics with values compatible with the levels suitable for use in the soil, i.e., substrates with absence of bacteria from the coliform group. A suitable and quality biofertilizer can be used as an important alternative for the production of seedlings and certain plantings. The material was produced by INPA, in partnership with settled families, resulting in five formulations. These have undergone a microbiological test to determine Shigella and Salmonella. Of the five samples analyzed, only the one of nº 04 presented presence for bacteria of the coliform group, which rules out its use as biofertilizer, due to the failure of IN SDA nº 7, April 12th, 2016.
