Impacts of the National School Feeding Program (PNAE) in support of family logics of production, in the municipality of Marabá, Pará - Amazônia

This research dealt with some effects of the public policy of the National School Feeding Program-
PNAE, in the municipality of Marabá-PA. The objective of the research was to analyze
some effects of PNAE on family farmers in the municipality of Marabá and their organizations.
The methodology was based on documentary and bibliographical review, as well as research
with the managers, schools and leaders and farmers involved. Apparently, the family farmers
of the municipality began to produce with more quality and diversity, since they started to have
a guarantee of the commercialization of some products from their agroecosystems. In addition,
its visibility has increased with the schools involved with the PNAE. In terms of environmental,
social and economic sustainability, our research identified several experiences with a good
level of diversification.
