Abstract

The project is a cinematographic show that emerges as a contributor to the X Brazilian Congress of Agroecology (Brasília - 2017), in the exercise of visibility and reaffirmation of popular culture, and agroecological experiences. Due to the continental reach of the meeting, the main motivation of the show was to bring to the X CBA, a convergent point of popular knowledge, eco-social projects, and achievements in the agroecology field, throughout Latin America. The “Cine” is justified as a political movement, since it awakens in participants the notion of the importance of popular communication as a vehicle for social denunciations, traditional knowledge, and voice of experiences that the imposed media system has no interest in working with. With the purpose of recommending the horizontality of the participations, as well as the plurality of experiences, the inscription in the show, was from open inscriptions of short, average, and feature films, in the fiction, animation or documentary genres, and that they related with agroecology in accordance with the dialogue with the 14 generating themes of the Congress.
