Abstract

Awareness about food is becoming more frequent, although some people do not. In view of the
need to verify eating habits and to disseminate the importance of healthy eating, a study was
carried out with the students of the Integrated Technical Course in Agroecology, between May
and June 2014. For the evaluation, a questionnaire with quantitative questions about socioeconomic
profile, food behavior and quality of life. Most students are from families with incomes
of a maximum of two minimum wages and who make the main meals in their residences. Lack
of habit of eating vegetables and unpleasant taste were pointed as main barriers to the consumption
