Approaching agroecological and territorial leadership strategies at Chapada Diamantina, Bahia-Brazil

This paper aims to present actions to address the challenges of territorial development and
its leadership, related to the socioeconomic inclusion of agroecological basis, based on the
institutional activities developed by NEDET Chapadeiros Project (CNPQ / IFBA) at Chapada
Diamantina Territory. It is worth mentioning the direct partnership with the Territorial groups,
aiming to potentiate such themes in the execution of activities in the instances (technical,
directive and plenary nucleus). During the period of execution of these actions, several agroecological-
based groups were inserted, with the purpose of promoting the articulation between
them and strengthening the formation process. However, the formation of groups and the construction
of supportive solidarity networks are diagnostic as central in the territorial conjuncture,
since the insertion of new subjects and groups, mainly of Youth / Women in the need to qualify
this social network in public policies in its various ways.
