Social and productive diagnosis of the Flor do Bosque settlement, municipality of Messias/Alagoas

Abstract

The history of the Bosque people has a small part of the history of so many others without land in Alagoas and Brazil in the struggle for agrarian reform. The present work had the objective of presenting a diagnosis of Flor do Bosque settlement, evidencing the social and agricultural issues of the community. The study was carried out with 35 families using semi-structured interviews. The results show a community that has advanced in the agroecological production issues, since the area of ​​the settlement was occupied by sugar cane for more than 50 years and currently has a high diversity of vegetal crops and animal creations, guaranteeing the maintenance of the families, following the agroecological bases.
