For three years, the promotion of Live Food has been developed at the Family Agriculture Fair of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in order to improve the health of the local population by adopting healthy habits. This action is articulated within an educational process that takes place through the practice of the concepts of collaborative economy, conscious consumption, agroecological cultivation and workshops and courses on food. The objective of this work is to share the experiences of food education experienced in the space-time of the family agriculture fair and analyze their possibilities for improvement. The methodology used was the analysis of the actions developed in the three years period, of direct contact with the local population and the reports of the consumers and apprentices on the adopted changes. The consequences generated in this period consist of improved information on: healthy eating, veganism, organic and agroecological cultivation, food sovereignty.
