Atitudes e práticas no uso de agrotóxicos entre agricultores do município de Canto do Buriti – PI

Abstract

The indiscriminate use of agrochemicals in Brazil has grown exponentially. The objective was to show the attitudes and practices in the use of pesticides among farmers in the municipality of Canto do Buriti - PI. It was applied questionnaires with, where it was sought to know the schooling, attitudes and practices in the use of pesticides of the farmers. All the interviewees are male, aged between 40 and 60 years. The results showed that the schooling of the producers is low. It was verified that 84% of the interviewees work with corn and bean crops and that 95% of the producers use pesticides in their crops. The attitudes and practice in the use of agrochemicals among farmers in the municipality of Canto do Buriti - PI, have been growing gradually, causing a consequence for human health and the environment. It is suggested that the obligatory agronomic prescription for the acquisition of agricultural, as well as, guidance, on the part of the resellers, of the form of discard of the packages.
