Abstract

The paths traveled by farmers, technicians, students, and professors linked to Field Education and Agroecology in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais have generated numerous fruits, among them the NEA ECOA-UFV. Since its institutionalization in 2016, the Nucleus of Agroecology and Field Education of the Federal University of Viçosa has taken important steps towards its consolidation in the academic and rural territories and for strengthening the knowledge produced by this network from which it originates and forms part. The objective of this report is to share through the lived experiences (such as: Agroecological Exchanges, Open Classes, Agroecological Thursdays, Study Groups) some of the main recent achievements and actions developed by ECOA-UFV and its partners in university and rural areas, highlighting the main lessons learned and the relationship of these actions with the construction of agroecological knowledge in the region of the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais.
