The ecogastronomy as a new possibility of guarantee to food safety in the lifestyle of the Vila Tatuoca Community (Cabo de Santo Agostinho - PE)

The present work reports the investigation of the forms of production, acquisition, manipulation
and consumption of the inputs of the food base of the Vila Nova Tatuoca community (Cabo de
Santo Agostinho), showing its relation with the construction of sustainability contexts compatible
with the notion of local development Agroecological, from different gastronomic senses in
the lifestyle of the families, with emphasis on the gender issue. Through qualitative research,
the recording of techniques, the way of preparation and manipulation of the food base of this
community, we identify the experiences, related to the configuration of the peasant lifestyle, its
relationship with food and agroecology, as well as with community and collective rites. Thus,
with new practices and possibilities arising from Agroecology and Gastronomy, as well as the
construction of agroecological knowledge, we show the community ways to mitigate the process
of descampesination suffered.
