Agroecology and peasant folk culture: the relationship between traditional customs and agroecological transition in Brazilian rural territories

The aim of this study is to analyze, in the light of peasant folk culture and agroecology, the importance of the traditional customs of rural peoples for agroecological transition processes. In this movement, making this relationship is a fundamental task from a theoretical point of view, to the understanding of both and to the glimpse of a peasant way of life. This is a theoretical essay that seeks to present, in the light of literature, experiences that bring popular culture as an instrument of resistance, demonstrating the potential to think about an agroecological Cultural transition.
