The analysis of the systemic approach in productive systems is fundamental for the construction
of strategies for sustainable development. The aim of this work was to analyze, from the
systemic approach, a family production system, in order to understand the different existing
components. It was carried out in an agricultural establishment, in the municipality of Terra
Alta, state of Pará, using two tools of participatory rapid diagnosis (DRP), being a semi-structured
interview and transversal walk. It was possible to identify strategies that the producer
adhered to improve soil quality, as well as reduce the input of external elements. Despite the
limitations presented, it is evident the importance of adopting measures to achieve a satisfactory
productivity, thinking about environmentally correct and socially just activities.
