Potentialities of the Agroforestry Systems of agroecological base in the context of the northeastern semi-arid.

Living with the semi-arid region requires a number of adaptation measures necessary to enable a decent life for the farming families. Therefore, the objective of this work was to encourage agroforestry systems in semi-arid regions of brazilian northeastern, through bibliographical studies and interviews with the agroecological farmer Nazaré Alves, who confirmed the success of agroforestry systems in the Cariri community. the potential of the system in this type of region for food production, food sovereignty and agroecology construction is successful in different aspects. In view of all the considerations, it was concluded that agroforestry systems, within the adverse conditions of the semi-arid region has a great socioeconomic and sustainable potential for improving the quality of life of women farmers and farmers, especially with the use of native species.
