Agricultural production and management problems in the Independent Settlement Project I in the municipality of Confresa-MT

Abstract

Confresa stands out because it agglomerates the largest number of settlers of the Agrarian
Reform of the country, being the family agriculture fundamental activity in its composition land.
The present work aimed to diagnose the cultivation and management in the agricultural production
carried out by the family farmers of the Independent Settlement Project I. For the development
of the research, a descriptive qualitative methodology was used, where 64 families
were surveyed using a randomized semi - structured questionnaire Aspects of the agricultural
system. Currently, 84.38% of the properties have cultivated area, with the greatest difficulties
being the attack of pests, diseases and weeds. Although the majority of the crops are for self-
