Description of the way of life of a family in Manoel Vitorino, Bahia, Brazil

Abstract

This aim of this article is to comprehend how the Ribeiro family lives. They have developed
a process based on agro ecology focused on improving healthy eating. This project aims to
identify, maintain and adept agricultural practices as well as promote cultural interaction for
the local families where they live and gender issues in the division of labor and income within
the family structure. This research is based on qualitative method case by case and divided in
two distinct layers: data collection and bibliographical research; informal talks and experience
exchanges. We can observe the importance of the farm workers on the improvement and of
adapted agriculture practices to the evolution of the agroecology.
