Abstract

Currently, the theme of food security and sovereignty has been consolidating as an important
topic for the strengthening of family agriculture. “The Challenge of Food Cultural Erosion: Learning
Spaces in Rural and Urban Schools” aimed at educating urban and rural school communities
to understand the process of food cultural erosion, its consequences on the contemporary
diet Between the years of 2011 and 2013 In the municipalities of Faxinal dos Guedes, Novos
Cabrais and Santa Maria - RS, through the methodology of action research, following the concept
of discursive symmetry. At the end of this work, we can see the creation of a favorable
environment for the qualification of food in schools, also some difficulties were also found as a
provision of financial and human resources.
