Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the relationship between the environmental dimension
and food sobriety through projects developed by peasant youth in different territories. It shows
here a cut of the experience of the Agrarian Youth Residence that was part of the National
Program of Education in Agrarian Reform (PRONERA). The projects developed by the youth
had a bias directed more to the agricultural production and the environmental dimension and
when analyzing the projects elaborated by the young people, it was noticed that they were
linked directly with the food sovereignty. The Youth Agrarian Residence allowed peasant youth
to see the importance of their family in the local productive process, for a community, society
and world, through actions of struggle, resistance and strength.
