Abstract

The alternative of raising chickens is present on many family farms, and is usually associated with a productive yard and new opportunities for marketing and subsistence. In relation to what was said, a descriptive exploratory research with a quantitative approach was carried out, which was characterized by the application of a semi-structured questionnaire with 20 questions aimed at chicken and egg consumers in the municipality of Remígio - Paraíba, with the objective of know the profile of consumers of eggs and poultry in this municipality. Through the results it was possible to know the profile of consumers of eggs and poultry living in the city, in which most respondents consume these types of products, but they do not consume regularly. Greater dissemination of information on the consumption of chicken and poultry eggs is necessary, with a view to putting agroecology into practice, seeking to offer more health and quality of life to consumers in the region.
