Sustainability Networks in Southeast Goiás

Abstract

The work presented, reports the experiences obtained through the training carried out by the Núcleo de Estudos, Pesquisa e Extensão em Agroecologia (NEPEA). Theoretical-practical training on socio-environmental issues was carried out through a course covering sustainability content. Likewise, other training courses were developed in the municipality of Catalão with partnerships with public schools and led by NEPEA. All initiatives in research, training and education on environmental sustainability, with emphasis on the subthemes of: generation, management, destination and disposal of recyclable domestic solid waste by the rural and urban communities in the municipalities where they were offered. The results are visible in the engagement of school communities in the actions of the project and in the continuity of the most visible achievements, such as, for example, conservation, maintenance.
