Applause for you: creation of ‘racket’ type forage palm seed bank for small farmers assistance of northwest capixaba

Abstract

The States of the Southeast, especially the Holy Spirit, has faced a few years ago, the water
crisis due to a long period of drought, consequently one of the most affected sectors has been
farming. In this way, due to climatic changes that has taken place, aimed to include the cultivation
of forage Palm in the region. Thus, this work comes seeking to deploy a rackets-Palm
culture seed in Integrated Rural Education State Center (CEIER) of White Eagle; educate small
producers from the local community to the adoption of culture as a viable alternative in the feeding
of the flock, in order to contribute to the production and local economy. In addition, sought,
through the interdisciplinary practice, a way to insert the CEIER students of White Eagle in the
development of the project in learning and the importance of culture and cultivation of Palm,
associating it with the climatic conditions of the region.
