Valuing Environmental Education: sowing care

Abstract

Environmental Education is present in all environments and the human being needs to understand that he is part of this environment, having as his goal to raise awareness and sensitize not only students, but the entire school community. Therefore, we chose to develop this work with the classes of Early Childhood Education and Elementary School, from the schools of Paranaíba/MS, during the whole year of 2014. These seedlings were obtained by the Municipality of Paranaíba through the Environment Secretariat and were planted in the school and in the residences of the students. There was interest from both students and parents in relation to planting and maintaining seedlings. From this project it was found that there was a change of attitude, preparing them to be citizens aware of their duties before society, not only in relation to the environment, but providing engagement in the proposed activities, contributing to the development of learning and to the increase of students' self-esteem.
