Abstract

The insertion of subjects and workshops involving the growth of plants in urban areas have
been increasingly used in schools and in kindergartens, either by the awareness of the origin of
the food consumed or even by the therapeutic character of growing food. This paper deals with
the different activities with an agro-ecological focus of cultivation developed at Porto Alegre
School (EPA), working with young people and adults who live in the streets.
