Abstract

The disagreement about the studies already carried out on the Schizolobium genus prevents the development of conservationist strategies or the expansion of sustainable means of production. Therefore, the objective was to evaluate through a global scientiometric analysis the patterns, trends and perspectives in the research field of this species. A bibliographic survey was used on the Thomson ISI website, with the keywords Schizolobium parahyba and Schizolobium amazonicum. Scientiometry has shown that most studies have been carried out in Brazil and published in Brazilian journals, and this study has been intensified in the last 10 years between 2009 and 2019.  The correlation between the number of articles published showed a great increase in publications. Schizolobium parahyba var amazonicum has greater impact in the field of research Technology and Use of Forest Products (26.4%) and Schizolobium parahyba var parahyba is related to Forestry (28%).
