Abstract

The quality of the seedling produced is strongly influenced by the production technique they are subjected to. A large number of substrates can offer suitable conditions for plant support, including organic substrates. Thus, it is intended to evaluate the initial growth of the species Schizolobium amazonicum parahyba var. Huber ex. Ducke on different organic substrates. The experimental design was arranged in randomized blocks (DBC) with four treatments and five replications. The four different treatments out: A: crushed fermented açaí stone; B: compound based on crushed açaí stone and poultry litter; C: aviary bed and saw dust; D: solo (witness). At 75 days, the biometric variables were evaluated: total height (Ht), diameter at neck height (CAD) and number of leaves. It was observed that paricá seedlings showed better development in height and CAD when submitted to organic substrate A.
