Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of compound minerals in rock powder to constitute an alternative substrate for the emergence and production of Cedrela fissilis Vell seedlings. The experiment was conducted in a nursery at the Federal University of Tocantins-Campus de Gurupi. Commercial substrate (SC) and quartz-feldspatica rock powder (PRQ) were used. The treatments consisted of doses of 0.10, 20, 30 and 40%. Morphological parameters were evaluated: H, DC, MSPA, MSR, MST, Relationship (MSPA / MSR) and the IQD. The physiological parameters were: chlorophyll A, B and total, carotenoids, ci, liquid photosynthesis, transpiration gases, specific leaf area, total leaf area, water use efficiency, leaf area ratio. The Cedrela fissilis species presented the PRQ substrate with satisfactory results, for the 10% dosage, deducing that it has tolerance to the PRQ. It is recommended to produce seedlings to recover degraded areas and agroforestry plantations.
