Abstract

The Semente Viva Agroforestry System emerged from the student initiative within the Federal University of Grande Dourados (UFGD), in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, started in August 2019, from a workshop for the implementation of SAFs organized by the Academic Center of Agronomy, the team is made up of undergraduate, master's students and a professor at UFGD. Currently, it is a space for teaching agroecology as a tool for agriculture, in addition to being a process of restoration of degraded soil. With this experience, the people involved in this initiative are learning in practice a more sustainable agriculture, in addition to teamwork, exchange of knowledge, joint restoration of a degraded area, helping in the resurgence of life to the natural system and how to spread the knowledge of agroecology for society, making it increasingly accessible to all.
