Report of one year of experience with the Agroecology and Environmental Education project in the Jardim Europa Bauru / SP

The project consists of carrying out Environmental Education and Agroecology activities with
the residents of the Jardim Europa community in Bauru / SP, assisting in local food production,
with the objective of promoting quality food, social inclusion and income generation for
families. To contribute to the preservation of this place that has great ecological importance.
Developed by members of the Biology and Agroecology Studies Group of the Unesp Campus
of Bauru (GEBA), who in contact with the residents realized the need for activities that promote
the restoration and preservation of the place. Thus, weekly actions were carried out in
the community, with the presence mainly of women and children and also the training of those
interested through the Unesp Regional Extension Project “The Regional Development of Food
Production”, the result has been positive and satisfactory for all Those involved.
