Abstract

The extension project “Training in Agroecology and Rural Education in the Region of Campanha Gaúcha” at Universidade Federal do Pampa - Campus Itaqui, carried out activities related to the historical and cultural rescue of Creole seeds in the years 2018 and 2019, with the participation of students , teachers, administrative technicians from the campus and the external community, in order to demonstrate their wealth and beauty, which are a heritage left by the indigenous indigenous peoples and settlers throughout Brazil. Throughout the project, we conducted workshops for making artistic pictures filled entirely with Creole seeds, where we highlight the origin of their plantation, while inquiring about their importance for agricultural culture. We can conclude that Creole seeds are essential for maintaining our ecosystem and that activities have aroused the interest of those involved and that actions like these have made a difference in the point of view of those involved.
